School work!

I just wanted to share this picture of Aidan.  I found him in his room doing "homework".  He was practicing his writting his letters.  I thought this was so cute!

Summer hikes!

We love going on walks in the woods.  We are so fortunate to have trails all around our house within minutes of where we live.

Aidan's first day of Kindergarten!

Aidan was so excited to go to school.  He was ready by 8 A.m.  and he didn't have to be there till 12;40.  He was so cute. 

 Cameron of course wanted to get all dressed up with clothes and backpack.  I just love these guys!

As I was backing out of the driveway I saw this.  I had to stop to take a picture.  What great friends.  When we got to school, there was a bus for all the kids to get on and check out.  Aidan was a little nervous about it and didn't really want to stay on to long.  Cameron was running from the front to the back over and over again.  Then we went inside his school to meet his teacher Mrs. Kaake and Mrs. Burnap and other classmates.  Mrs. Burnap brought the kids outside so Mrs. Kaake could talk to all the parents.  Then it was time for us to leave.  I was a little dissapointed that I wasn't able to say goodbyes to Aidan or take any pictures of him in his classroom.

We bought a house!

Yay!  After about 1 1/2 years of looking, we finally bought a house!  We are so excited.  First we needed to paint the whole thing.  There was wallpaper from floor to ceiling on EVERY SINGLE wall.  Here are a few pictures from painting.  Oh, and I have to add that My mother-in-law, sis-in law, and I did it by our selves.  hehe.

So far we love it here.  We have a large deck off the back and about 3 acres...mostly woods.  We like to go exploring in our back yard.

Cameron did it!

We walked into our bedroom to find that "someone" had colored on our wall.  Surprisingly this is the first time our kids have done this.  They have colored on furniture...but never on the wall.  We knew who did it because the culprit had wrote his name on the wall.  When we asked him who did it he said Cameron.  haha kids!!! 

Meeting cousin Leo

Rich's brother Rob and his wife Krystal had a cute baby boy Leo.  They currently live in California.  We were able to meet this sweet baby boy when they came to visit over the summer.  He is the kids first cousin and our first nephew.  It was so much fun to see them and play with Leo.

I am not sure what happened to the pictures of Aidan and Leo,  but they enjoyed every minute of our visit with him.

Birthday Boys!

Aidan and Cameron are now 5 and 3.  I can't believe how big they are getting.  (I know I say this every year)  I just love watching them learn and grow everyday!  Unfortunatly this year with our big move, i didn't plan a big birthday with friends.  We just had a small one with family.  The kids didn't seem to mind to much.  Just a few pictures of them opening presents!

We are alive!

Yes, it's been a couple of months since I have last blogged.  But I will try my best not to miss anything big that happened over the summer.  Aidan graduated from preschool in the spring.  They had a fun water party in the parking lot to celebrate the end of the school year.  We had fun.

I made these for all his teachers.  I can't remember what blog i got the idea from.  But I had fun making them.  Quick and easy is the way to go!  Unfortunately I couldn't find any of his graduation pictures.  If I come across them I will post.

4th of July

We managed to break away from painting the house to see the fireworks.  While we were waiting for the fireworks to begin, we threw balls back and forth to eachother.  They would light up everytime  we threw them.  The kids loved it.  They also loved watching the fireworks especially because they sat on the hood of my car. 

....it got a little noisy!

Aidans 1st Dance Recital!

Where Aidan goes to preschool they incorporate music and dance into their curriculum. On Tuesday mornings Aidan goes to dance class. He just performed yesterday. We are so proud of him. We weren't sure if he would even get up on stage. And we thought that if he did get on stage, he would just stand there. He surprised us both. He did get shy and didn't do all the movements. But we are so glad he gave it a try. We are soooo proud of our graduating preschooler!

Snapped a picture of him back stage, before we had to go out front and take our seats.  I just love his little coyness.  The other boys that take this particular dance class weren't able to make it.  Only Aidan and one other boy performed.
