Camping Day 3!

Oh what a night!!! There was a huge thunderstorm that past through on the second night. Our tent was flooded. We had to bring Aidan into bed with us, because he was just sleeping on a foam pad. Luckily we brought him into our bed before it soaked up water. Cameron did fine he was in a pack & play which is off the floor. The thunder was so loud, it shook our tent. The lightning was so bright is was like daylight. Aidan woke up once, but when he realized he was with Rich and I he fell right back asleep. Cameron also woke up, but really didn't seem to be fazed as to what was happening. I fed him and he went back to sleep. Well we had a big mess to clean up the next morning. Everything was taken out of our tent and hung up to dry. Our clothes were really wet and so was Aidan's mattress. Luckily the rain cleared up and it turned out to be a nice sunny day!

Cameron was such a good boy eating cheerios while we started to clean up.

Rich made a bacon bomb for dinner. It didn't turn out like it is supposed to because it is supposed to be smoked...and um well we didn't have a smoker while camping.

Taking a nap with Grandma. He was probably so tired from all the cleaning he was doing. (at his own free will) He loved raking the leaves, dirt, and rocks. It was so cute. He really had a blast while camping. He keeps asking if we can go again.

I am so glad I brought this excersaucer. He had a blast in it...plus it saved my arms.

The last night there we didn't have any deflating mattresses or floods.....just a crying baby. yes for some reason Cameron was up like 4 times that night. o-well. The next morning we had a big breakfast and packed up to go home. We can't wait to do it again next year!

Camping day 2!

Our second day camping we went to the lake to go swimming and lay out in the sun. The boys really loved the water. They especially loved splashing.

haha this is why I don't have very many pictures of Aidan on our camping trip. He just doesn't seem to want his picture taken.

Cameron had so much fun in the water he was pooped. He took a nice long nap curled up in a towel.

We had the best chicken ever that night. I think it is called beer caned chicken. It is the most moist chicken you will ever taste. What you do is you sit the bird on top of an opened beer can and grill it. You can kindof see the can sticking out of the bottom on the left bird. This chicken is delish.

Camping trip day one

We went Camping last week and had so much fun. It was so nice to get away together and not have to worry about work. I was a little worried about how things would go with Cameron being so young, but things went really well. Both Aidan and Cameron had a blast. Aidan loved being outside all day and playing in the dirt. There were 13 Adults and 4 kids. We had 4 good size campsites all next to each other. On one campsite we set up the croquet set, the next one was the main "hangout" with all the food, hammock, and the main fire pit we used. The horse hoeswerealso set up at that campsite. The other 2 were just used for sleeping. Rich and I had a fire at ours one night while the kids were sleeping. We were gone for 3 nights. The first night Our mattress deflated within 2 hours. so sleeping that night was very uncomfortable. Day couldn't come fast enough. the boys seemed to sleep well that night. We went out the next day to buy another air mattress.

Short visit with Grandparents

My Grandparents are taking a U.S. and Church history tour. It turned out they would be just out of Boston for a night. Which is only 45 min. from us. (my grandparents are from Utah, we don't get to see them a lot) We got lucky because they are usually non-stop with this tour, so they can get all the site seeing in. But in Boston they had from 5 P.M. on to kind of do what they wanted. We had dinner with them and were able to visit with them. We sure enjoyed our time together even though it was short. These picture are out of order.

They tour bus came to pick everyone up at the strip mall, where panera bread was to take them to their hotel for the night. The driver was nice enough to let me take the boys on it. They had a blast! Grandma is behind us.

When we got to their hotel room Aidan immediately took off his shoes and socks and climbed into bed. haha It was so funny.

Aidan had a Birthday!

Aidan turned 3 on Saturday! Friends and Family came over for a BBQ and games for the kids. We had a blast! Aidan, Elle, and Heber eating dinner. His other 2 friends must have been playing in the yard when I took this. Don't they look so happy!

Aidan had 3 turns hitting the pinata and each of his friends had a least 2. Man those pinatas are made tough. Eventually Rich cut a slit in it, to make it easier. The kids just loved this.

Baseball game

We got free tickets to a baseball game. We had a blast!

This is the only picture I could get of Aidan. But I had to be tricky. He was watching the game so I called his name, when he turned around I was able to get this. lol He said "Hey yoooouuuu"

Aidan picks up all these different sayings land walks around everywhere saying them, like
hey you, cool beans, awwww man, shucks, no way. He looks up to his uncles so much.
Cameron... don't look so happy. He really did have a great time. He was clapping and dancing to the music.

We had a lot of fun at the wedding. Aidan looked so cute in his tux as well as the other little boy Caiden. I did a couple run throughs before the wedding with Aidan to get him used to walking down the isle, and showing him wear to bring the rings. He did really well. But then when it actually came time he got really shy with everyone watching him. I ended up walking with him.

Cameron's weight check

Last Tues. we went to get Cameron's weight checked. He has lost 3 oz. in 6 weeks. 3 doesn't seem like a lot but babies are supposed to be gaining about an ounce a day. His pediatrician thinks I may not be producing enough milk. So he wants me to offer him formula after I nurse him. We'll be going in for another weight check at the end of the month. I hope this works!!

Cameron's First Steps!!!

Yes you heard it. Tonight Cameron took 2 steps all on his own!!!! He was getting tired so I put my hand on his back for guidance and he took 4 more! We are so excited. Of course I don't have video of it because these moments are so unexpected. Hopefully next time we will have a camera close by to grab and capture these fun moments. We Love you Cameron! Happy 11 months!
