Plane Project

This past weekend Aidan enjoyed painting and putting together a wooden plane we bought at Michael's. He loved it!

Just sanding away!

Making grooves in the wood so when we put glue on, it will stick better!

Aidan loved using his toy hammer to make sure everyone was tight!

Daddy telling Aidan what they are going to do next.

He couldn't wait until it was finished drying so he could play with it....just look at all those colors!!!!

Our little one is growing big!

We finally got Cameron in to his 18 mo. check up last Friday. Here are his Stats. He is doing great and healthy.

LENGTH: 33 in (56 percentile)

WEIGHT: 23.75 lbs (16 percentile) - Which is a great improvement from his 12 mo. check up where he was only in the 6th percentile. Dr. Hunter isn't concerned since he is constantly gaining weight and seems to be eating all the time.

HEAD CIR.: 18.7 in. (35 percentile)

Eczema is still an ongoing problem. His hands are pretty raw right now. The other day he just kept scratching them until they bled. ( we were in the car so I didn't realize this was happening, he wasn't crying or anything) So he is always taking medicine...it's a stronger version them benadryl or the like. Dr. Hunter said we could be doing everything right, but it can still be an issue :( Poor little guy.

Aidan has had it rough this season. He is now just getting over his 3rd ear infection. The doctor isn't sure if it is a separate ear infection or it is the same one as a few weeks ago that just didn't heal completely.

Spring Time Fun!

New Hampshire experience some very unusually warm weather a few weeks ago. It was around 65 degrees, and even hit 70 one day. You better bet we took advantage of those wonderful days!

I was so excited to dress them in their vests!!! So adorable. Aidan and Cameron still insisted on wearing their winter hats even though it was plenty warm without them.

This picture in hilarious he is wearing his winter hat...but on top of that he has a Mickey mouse ears hat on top of that. The kids actually fight over who gets to wear it.

Our sweet Cameron still wants to shovel the snow!

I just had to post this picture of Cameron watching "wor-wor" (word world) with his eye protection on top of his head. LOVE this!!!

This is hilarious!

This is Cameron's new thing. It just makes us laugh so hard. Then he does it even more because we like it. He sometimes does it right before bedtime because he know that it will distract us for a little bit. He has such an amazing personality and we just love him to pieces.

Winter Wind Storm!

As promised here are some pictures from our storm. Thursday night we had crazy wind reported up to 80 mph. The house was shaking and the windows rattling, is not a fun environment to be in. People had actually taken their families to their basements to take cover. There were several trees that fell on homes, vehicles, telephone poles, streets etc. It was reported that more than 300,000 were out of power. We were out of power for 6 LONG days. We had a tree fall down in the back yard barely missing our 2 lawn mowers, the shed, and our snowmobile. We had a tree at the top of the driveway that fell down across the driveway and brought down cables and electricity. Rich was able to cut a way for us to get out, with his chainsaw. My brothers and I cleared the trees that he cut up. The driveway was a little busted up from the tree falling. A branch landed on my windshield during the storm, cracking it. We feel so blessed we were kept safe and the only thing ruined or hurt was my windshield. We have so many trees on our property that could have fallen on our house.

The power went out about 10:30pm Thursday night, so the house was pretty warm when it went out and made it easy to sleep. Friday night was a little different since the house hadn't been heated for 24 hrs. I piled blankets on Cameron, Aidan slept with me since Rich was called in for work for clean up and snow removal. (yes because it snowed on top of all this mess)I was excited that the kids stayed warm and were able to sleep through the night. When we woke up it was 50 degrees. We made a fire in the fireplace to get the chill off the house, and since we have a gas stove we were able to light it for warmth and cooking as well. (we know it isn't the safest to heat with that, but we were careful and desperate.) Aidan and Cameron didn't seem bothered by the cold to much. In fact they were excited that we always had a fire going. Cameron felt the need to be reminded everyone that it was hot. He would say it while sticking his hand out as if to say "stop" to someone. So adorable. My dad surprised us with 2 hotel rooms for Saturday night (Thank-you) It was so nice to take a shower and keep warm the whole night. We came home Sunday afternoon to find it was 47 in the house. One of our home teachers called to say he had a generator we could use. With a few tweaks Rich was able to hook it up to our boiler, fridge, and well pump. We were so grateful we were able to keep warm and shower for the remaining power outage. I have now realized, that I can deal without electricity, but I can not deal without heat.

^This is the tree at the top of the Driveway(this part is in the wood laying on all the cables)

^This is the view from the street. As you can see there was no way of getting out. Rich did however manage to cut through the woods with this truck by cutting down a small tree to get to work....but he couldn't get back in.

^This is the tree in the back yard. The lawn mowers are to the left of the tree and as you can see it fell right between them, the shed and the snow mobile.

Here is my awesome husband cutting us through the driveway!
So as you can see we have a ton to clean up. Most likely we are working this Saturday to get rid of a lot of this. If you want to help we would sure appreciate it, just call us so we can give you details.

We love sledding

Here are some fun videos of the kids sledding. Make sure you turn up your sound so you can hear Aidans cute giggle. Both Aidan and Cameron love sledding down on their own.

Be sure to check back in a few days for pictures from out last crazy storm!!!
