Happy Easter Part 2!

After we left our friends house we came back home and watched a little General Conference. Then we had another Easter egg hunt. The kids sure love finding the eggs. It is so fun to watch their reactions.

Then we headed over to Pappy and Grandma's house for linner???hehe(lunch/dinner)

The kids sure were spoiled with candy and presents! They they were good sports about it though ;)

....AND they yet again had an Easter egg hunt. I don't think they could ever get sick of finding those plastic eggs filled with chocolate, coins, and matchbox cars.

Aidan is obsessed with his helmet and pretty much loves to wear it anywhere at anytime!

Aidan loves his Auntie!

We had a great and warm Easter, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! We hope you all enjoyed your Easter as well!

Happy Easter part 1!

(I just found this post in my draft box...it had never been posted)

This Easter morning I felt rushed... and didn't focus on Christ or my kids as I should have. I was busy making zucchini bread and dinner rolls. We had to be over at some friends house by 9:30 to have a breakfast Easter get together....which was really fun, I just need to get better at planning and sticking to it. Does anyone else procrastinate like I do...or is it just me? Anyways here are some pictures of our morning.

It was always a tradition for the Easter Bunny to hide our baskets and have us find them in the morning. Cameron didn't seem to understand the concept, so Aidan did all the work........

....And Cameron reaped the benefits!!

yuummmmy!

So at 9:30 a bunch of us went over to friends and had breakfast, the kids played, and the kids had an Easter Egg hunt! They just loved that trampoline....I see one in our future :)

gotta find the eggs!

Daddy helping under the trampoline.

Aidan with his cute friend Ellie.

This is one of our friends Little boy Oliver doing his "plank"

Here are most of the kids that were there. Aidan is 2nd one in from the right on the top. Cameron is the 2nd one in on the bottom. Sweet Oliver was holding onto Cameron's basket. He thought he was stealing it and started to yell at him....and then proceeded to cry, which made Oliver cry. It was pretty funny. From then on he had a tight grip on that little bucket.

Our friends balancing their babies in one hand. This just scares the crap out of me. Jordon...the one in the baseball cap will actually raise his hand higher then this pic. pretty entertaining to watch.....I would never let Rich do this to our kids though....it just scares me to much.

Aidan and his really good friend Heber. They are such good friends and love to play with each other, we are sad to say they are moving in a couple weeks to Idaho. We will miss them a ton.

Easter egg coloring

I realize this post is late, better late then never I guess. We had a lot of fun coloring our Easter eggs this year. It was always a tradition in my family growing up. I am so excited to continue this tradition with our children.
Coloring the egg......

Now eating the egg. Hehe I guess he was to hungry to smile.

we thought it would be best if Cameron stayed away from coloring the eggs. So we had him put decorate it with stickers. It actually kept him entertained for at least 20min.

"See mommy?"

Didn't take long for him to start dropping and smashing the eggs. We had a great time.

Plane Project

This past weekend Aidan enjoyed painting and putting together a wooden plane we bought at Michael's. He loved it!

Just sanding away!

Making grooves in the wood so when we put glue on, it will stick better!

Aidan loved using his toy hammer to make sure everyone was tight!

Daddy telling Aidan what they are going to do next.

He couldn't wait until it was finished drying so he could play with it....just look at all those colors!!!!

Our little one is growing big!

We finally got Cameron in to his 18 mo. check up last Friday. Here are his Stats. He is doing great and healthy.

LENGTH: 33 in (56 percentile)

WEIGHT: 23.75 lbs (16 percentile) - Which is a great improvement from his 12 mo. check up where he was only in the 6th percentile. Dr. Hunter isn't concerned since he is constantly gaining weight and seems to be eating all the time.

HEAD CIR.: 18.7 in. (35 percentile)

Eczema is still an ongoing problem. His hands are pretty raw right now. The other day he just kept scratching them until they bled. ( we were in the car so I didn't realize this was happening, he wasn't crying or anything) So he is always taking medicine...it's a stronger version them benadryl or the like. Dr. Hunter said we could be doing everything right, but it can still be an issue :( Poor little guy.

Aidan has had it rough this season. He is now just getting over his 3rd ear infection. The doctor isn't sure if it is a separate ear infection or it is the same one as a few weeks ago that just didn't heal completely.

Spring Time Fun!

New Hampshire experience some very unusually warm weather a few weeks ago. It was around 65 degrees, and even hit 70 one day. You better bet we took advantage of those wonderful days!

I was so excited to dress them in their vests!!! So adorable. Aidan and Cameron still insisted on wearing their winter hats even though it was plenty warm without them.

This picture in hilarious he is wearing his winter hat...but on top of that he has a Mickey mouse ears hat on top of that. The kids actually fight over who gets to wear it.

Our sweet Cameron still wants to shovel the snow!

I just had to post this picture of Cameron watching "wor-wor" (word world) with his eye protection on top of his head. LOVE this!!!

This is hilarious!

This is Cameron's new thing. It just makes us laugh so hard. Then he does it even more because we like it. He sometimes does it right before bedtime because he know that it will distract us for a little bit. He has such an amazing personality and we just love him to pieces.

Winter Wind Storm!

As promised here are some pictures from our storm. Thursday night we had crazy wind reported up to 80 mph. The house was shaking and the windows rattling, is not a fun environment to be in. People had actually taken their families to their basements to take cover. There were several trees that fell on homes, vehicles, telephone poles, streets etc. It was reported that more than 300,000 were out of power. We were out of power for 6 LONG days. We had a tree fall down in the back yard barely missing our 2 lawn mowers, the shed, and our snowmobile. We had a tree at the top of the driveway that fell down across the driveway and brought down cables and electricity. Rich was able to cut a way for us to get out, with his chainsaw. My brothers and I cleared the trees that he cut up. The driveway was a little busted up from the tree falling. A branch landed on my windshield during the storm, cracking it. We feel so blessed we were kept safe and the only thing ruined or hurt was my windshield. We have so many trees on our property that could have fallen on our house.

The power went out about 10:30pm Thursday night, so the house was pretty warm when it went out and made it easy to sleep. Friday night was a little different since the house hadn't been heated for 24 hrs. I piled blankets on Cameron, Aidan slept with me since Rich was called in for work for clean up and snow removal. (yes because it snowed on top of all this mess)I was excited that the kids stayed warm and were able to sleep through the night. When we woke up it was 50 degrees. We made a fire in the fireplace to get the chill off the house, and since we have a gas stove we were able to light it for warmth and cooking as well. (we know it isn't the safest to heat with that, but we were careful and desperate.) Aidan and Cameron didn't seem bothered by the cold to much. In fact they were excited that we always had a fire going. Cameron felt the need to be reminded everyone that it was hot. He would say it while sticking his hand out as if to say "stop" to someone. So adorable. My dad surprised us with 2 hotel rooms for Saturday night (Thank-you) It was so nice to take a shower and keep warm the whole night. We came home Sunday afternoon to find it was 47 in the house. One of our home teachers called to say he had a generator we could use. With a few tweaks Rich was able to hook it up to our boiler, fridge, and well pump. We were so grateful we were able to keep warm and shower for the remaining power outage. I have now realized, that I can deal without electricity, but I can not deal without heat.

^This is the tree at the top of the Driveway(this part is in the wood laying on all the cables)

^This is the view from the street. As you can see there was no way of getting out. Rich did however manage to cut through the woods with this truck by cutting down a small tree to get to work....but he couldn't get back in.

^This is the tree in the back yard. The lawn mowers are to the left of the tree and as you can see it fell right between them, the shed and the snow mobile.

Here is my awesome husband cutting us through the driveway!
So as you can see we have a ton to clean up. Most likely we are working this Saturday to get rid of a lot of this. If you want to help we would sure appreciate it, just call us so we can give you details.

We love sledding

Here are some fun videos of the kids sledding. Make sure you turn up your sound so you can hear Aidans cute giggle. Both Aidan and Cameron love sledding down on their own.

It's been a while

I realize I have been neglecting my blog. We have been a little busy lately.

We have started doing this really fun and exciting first time thing........HOUSE HUNTING!!! We have had a lot of fun looking at houses. I love it! We have seen some really nice houses with absolutely no land, and we have seen some horrible houses with a couple acres of land. We found a house we really liked in Bow, and thought that it might be the one. It was so cute with a porch at the front of the house, that I could picture having a couple wooden rocking chairs there. The inside was redone and had a lot of uniqueness that we loved. However, it didn't have a garage. It was at the top of our price list so it isn't like we would have extra money to build a garage. it was a dirt basement floor (because it is an older home) and Rich couldn't even stand up in it. But it was on 3/4 of an acre, which is what we want. We will keep looking and will find something that is perfect for us. The hard part is being patient in finding the right one.

My Grandparents were in town for a week. We had a lot of fun spending time with them. The kids sure loved them, and were sad when they left. Aidan would wake up in the morning and say "is Grandma and Grandpa Jones still here?"

Aidan got his FIRST ear infection a couple weeks ago. Although it was sad to see him have it...most kids have had many ear infections by the time they are 3 1/2, so I guess I can't complain to much.

Cameron has started talking. Some of his words are: Dadda, Momma, Ryan (Cameron says RY), back pack (ba-pa), no, more, that, and a few others that I can't think of. I will have to post them later.

Rich and I had our 4 year anniversary on January 21st. I can't believe we have been married for 4 YEARS!!! Time flies. I am so happy that I have Rich in my life. He is a wonderful husband and Father. I don't know what I would do without him.
We didn't actually celebrate it until this past Friday night because thing were so busy during the week. We got all dressed up and went to a fancy restaurant C.R sparks. We had a great time. I put together a bunch of pictures, added music and burned it to a Cd...I will have to post it later. It came out great. Most of the time was spent figuring out how to do everything, but i think I have it down now. The next video I make should be a lot better. :) But he loved it.
